The Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines is now accepting applications for their Teacher Training and Japanese Studies programs!

2014 Japanese Government Scholarships: Call for Applications

Filipino citizens who meet the following qualifications below are eligible to apply:

Teacher Training

A Teacher in Elementary or Secondary Level, or an Academic Staff at a Teacher Training Institution
At least 5 years teaching experience
In good standing
Aged 35 years old and below

Japanese Studies

Must be a Japanese Studies Major
Good knowledge of the Japanese Language
With good academic standing
Aged 18 to 29 years old

Application forms and a list of complete requirements are available at the Embassy Website. The deadline for submission is on 24 February 2014, at the JICC Library. Only hard copies printed on A4 size paper, and couriered/hand-delivered to the Embassy will be considered.

Free scholarship consultations are also offered at the JICC Library every Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM, and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Interested individuals and walk-in visitors are welcome, and need only present a valid ID to secure an entry badge to the Embassy premises.
