Consuming Japan Society Politics Economy and Japanese Food Ateneo de Manila

The Ateneo de Manila University’s Japanese Studies Program in cooperation with the Japan Foundation Manila would like to invite everyone to its 2011 International Conference entitled “Consuming Japan: Society, Politics, Economy, and Japanese Food”. The conference will be held on the 28th and 29th of January 2011 at the ADMU’s Loyola Heights Campus.

This two-day conference will explore food studies as a filed of study relevant among researchers and students of not just Japanese studies, but social and economic studies as well. The conference will feature speakers from Japan, Singapore, the Netherlands, and the Philippines.

Prospective attendees may avail of 2-day registration fees at PhP 800, or 1-day registration fees at PhP 500. Students may avail of discounted rates of just PhP 250 per day. The registration fees will cover meals (coffee breaks and lunch) and your conference kit. ADMU students attend for free.
