At exactly 2:00 AM Japan time today (1:00 AM Philippine time) the Luna Sea Official website announced that the band will be flying to Hong Kong on the 31st of August for a massive press conference.
The press conference will be happening at 15:00 PM (Hong Kong and Manila time) and will be streamed live via USTREAM to Luna Sea fans worldwide.
Speculation is rife among the fan community that the band will be announcing its formal reunification, as well as a world tour — owing to the band’s recent move to create local street teams worldwide.
Luna Sea is one of the biggest rock bands to come out of Japan’s music scene. Since its inception in 1989 it has gone on to release a successful string of singles and albums — including “Rosier”, “Mother”, “Desire”, “I for You”, “Sweetest Coma Again”, and “Gravity”.
The group officially disbanded in 2000, but played a one-night reunion gig at Tokyo Dome on Christmas Eve in 2007. The Reboot press con will be the first time the band members have been together as a group since that concert.
