A Quick Post-AFA 09 Update

Hi guys! I’m back from Anime Festival Asia 09 in Singapore and am currently sorting through piles of photos prior to coming up with a proper event report.
In the meantime, I am so excited to share some souvenir Fuji Instax photos I took with the AFA 09 Love Anisong performers MAY’N, Nakagawa Shouko, and Fukuyama Yoshiki, as well as celeb otaku Danny Choo. Each one of them were gracious and accommodating and so much fun to talk to; please watch out for the full-length interviews once they come out on the MTV Asia blog.

Meanwhile, The 1st Regional Cosplay Championships was won by 00 Emotion from Singapore (mirage_cld and Marina Ismai), after the pair beat out a stunning set of costumes from Team Indonesia The Endless Illution (Orochi and Pinky), and a crowd-pleasing performance by Team Philippines Witchblade (Alodia and Ashley). 00 Emotion also won the special award for costume craftsmanship.
