Finalists Announced for AFA09 Regional Cosplay Championships

The gag order is off and we are pleased to announce the Finalists and Official Country Representatives to the AFA 09 Regional Cosplay Championships!

Team Singapore: 00 Emotion
Team Singapore: ST Revolution
Team Thailand: Houshin Engi
International teams will be flown to Singapore by the AFA 09 organizers to take part in the Finals to be judged by Japanese celebrity cosplayer Kaname. We wish all the teams the best and look forward to seeing your performances during the con!

Cosplayers who were not selected to be country representatives are very welcome to attend the convention — for free! Simply pre-register with AFA 09 and show up in costume during the con; if your costume passes the inspection you will be presented with a festival ticket absolutely free!
AFA09 will be held on the 21st and 22nd of November at Singapore’s Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Halls 403 – 404). This year’s highlight is the I Love Anisong concert featuring Shokotan, MAY’N, Mizuki Ichiro, Fukuyama Yoshiki, and Hatsune Miku.

I might be in Singapore on November 16-18 for business. I’m hoping I could move it to 21-24 instead. I didn’t know that pre-registered cosplayers will get free passes! ^^ I’ll prepare for that~
