Metro Comic Con 2009 and MCC Cosplay Competition

Hobbylink Productions, Inc. in partnership with COSPLAY.PH is proud to present the first ever Manila Comic Con! The Metro Comic Con will be held on the 8th and 9th of August 2009 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls 1 & 2.
The Metro Comic Con is the Philippines’ most recent addition to the hobby convention circuit, and is also quite possibly the biggest event dedicated to comics and comic book artists.
Aside from their exclusive line-up of comic book workshops, art exhibits, indie comic booths, and special sessions with guest artists, the Metro Comic Con is also excited to announce the very first MCC Cosplay Competition!
The MCC Cosplay Competition is an Open Category event, where costumes from anime, manga, games, comics, movies, western animation, and Visual Kei and Harajuku fashion are welcome to compete. Participants will be vying for the following categories:
• Best Pinoy Comic Character
• Best Western Comic/Cartoon Character
• Best Anime/Manga Character
• Best Mecha Character
• Best Game (Western/Japanese) Character
• Best Chibi Cosplay (for children 12 years old and below)
• Best Group Cosplay

hi there! the convention organizers have yet to release the list of exhibitors and selling booths, so we’ll all have to wait and see which toy retailers will be attending the con. please drop by the site again soon in case we have updates :) thanks!
