Philippine Finalists for 2009 JAL Scholarship Programme

The list of applicants who made it to the Final Selection for the Philippine Delegation of the 2009 Japan Airlines Scholarship Programme has been released.

These talented and intelligent undergraduate and postgraduate university students will undergo a final panel interview, to select the two Scholars for this year’s programme.

The list is as follows (sorted alphabetically):

• Cruz, Paolo Tristan (University of the Philippines)

• Garcia, Emile (University of the Philippines)
• Gates, David (De la Salle University)

This year’s Japan Airlines Scholarship Programme will run from the 29th of June to the 15th of July. JAL will send young leaders from South East Asia and Oceania to fly to Japan and take part in lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities centered around a main theme.

This year’s theme is: “International Cooperation — its achievements and drawbacks.”
